RAJOURI: To commemorate the forth coming National Women’s Day, University Polytechnic BGSBU, Rajouri organised an online power point presentation competition on the theme ‘Women empowerment’ on Wednesday through Google meet platform. The whole programme has been organised under the guidance and leadership of VC BGSBU Prof.(Dr.) Ravinder Kumar Sinha, Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Iqbal Pravez , Dean & Principal SOET Prof. Asif Hussain and Principal University Polytechnic Er. Malik Mubasher Hassan.In order to highlight the role of women in Science & Technology, Defence, Politics, Art and Culture and sports a large number of students from different departments of the University Polytechnic participated and presented their diverse views and ideas over the role of women in above mentioned fields. Out of them Syed Qamoos student of 4th Semester Diploma Mechanical Engineering, Navreen Jan student of 6th semester Diploma Civil Engineering and Asiyah Bashir of 6th semester diploma civil Engineering bagged first, second & third position respectively.This galaxy of speakers was judged by the faculty members of University Polytechnic BGSBU which include Mohd Rafiq, Rafia Khatoon, Showkat Maqbool, Farooq Ahmed.Er. Malik Mubasher Principal University Polytechnic BGSBU Hassan guided the event management team comprising which includes Monica Mitter (Coordinator); Showkat Ahmed Shiekh; Sahil Hamid and Mumtaz Ahmed. The programme was anchored by Monica Mitter.
