RAJOURI: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the District level Task Force to review the progress achieved in COVID19 vaccination in the district.The meeting was attended by the ADC Rajouri, Sher Singh; ADC Subderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal; ADC Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Sambayal; ADC Kalakote, Krishan Lal; ADC Koteranka, Surinder Mohan Sharma; Additional SP,Liyaqat Chowdhary; PO ICDS, Kartar Singh; DPO, Chander Kant Bhagat; CMO, Dr Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; District Immunization Officer, Dr Yograj; District ASHA Coordinator, Mohd Farooq Mir; ExEn PWD Rajouri, Mohammad Zubair; ExEn PWD Nowshera, Prem Kapoor, Dy CMO, Dr Aneef Altaf Nabi and Block Medical Officers.The meeting was informed that the vaccination programme in the country is using Co-WIN (Covid Vaccine Intelligence Work), an online digital platform developed by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which facilitates real-time information of vaccine stocks, storage temperature and individualized tracking of beneficiaries for COVID-19 vaccine. The digital platform also assists the programme managers across all levels while conducting vaccination sessions.The meeting was further informed that the Government has given emergency use approval after proper scientific scrutiny and Dry-runs at vaccination centres across the district have been held with a number of healthcare staff.It was apprised that concerted efforts are being made to achieve total eradication of COVID19 pandemic from the district through vaccination and against 6200 frontline workers including health care workers, Anganwadi workers and helpers, 3500 have been vaccinated till date.The DDC directed the Block Medical Officers to generate massive awareness among the masses in their respective jurisdiction about the vaccination drive to ensure universal coverage.
