JAMMU: The ongoing agitation of Dharmarth Trust Employees Association (DTEA) entered 73rd day while chain hunger strike entered 46th day in support of their demands to constitute a public board for all temples under Dharmarth Trust.Striking employees on Thursday organised a protest rally in which Pujaris in traditional dress also participated. The rally, amidst chanting Vedic Mantras, was taken from Geeta Mandir to Subash Nagar and Old Rehari areas, where a signature campaign was also launched.Meanwhile, Gharu Ram Malhotra, President of Mazdoor Kissan Union visited Dharna venue and addressed striking employees. He urged the Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha to constitute a committee for resolving the issues. He further assured full support to the striking employees till a Board is not constituted for all temples under Dharmarth Trust.Freedom Fighters Memorial Association (FFMA) Chairman Ved Gandotra and Sr Vice President, Prof R P Sharma also urged to Lt Governor to intervene in the matter and resolve issues of striking employees at the earliest.The persons who sat on hunger strike included Sukeshni Devi, Sheetal Jamwal, Ritu Devi, Anisha Sharma, Vivek Bandral, Reeta Slathia, Jyoti Devi, Vimla Devi, Rita Sharma and Rajani Devi.Others present during the protest included Ex-president Thakur Kernail Chand, Ex-General Secretary Pritam Sharma, Sunit Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Subash, Pt Parshotam, Pt Brijmohan Sharma, Pt Om Parkash, Pt Rampal, Pt Balwant Shastri, Vimal Khajuria, Sat Paul, Pawan, Deepu, Rinku, Makhnu, Jivan, Bushan, Sonali, Renu, Anju, Sheetal, Sonika, Sukeshni, Rita Salathia, Rekha, Ritu Devi, Harbans Lal, Surjeet Singh Slathia, Surjeet Singh Jamwal, Manmohan Singh, Parshotam Sharma, Ram Paul Sharma, Jagjeet Chand, Sahil Sharma, Pt Babu Bishambar Lal, Raj Kumari, Leela Devi, Sheetal, Ritu Rajput, Jyoti, Sheela Devi, Savita Jamwal, Kanchan, Rajni, Shobha, Nisha and Sonika.
