BILLAWAR: Former Minister and President DCC Kathua Dr Manohar Lal Sharma on Wednesday while chairing public meeting at Dayalachak, Billawar criticized NDA Govt at center for failing to listen to crore of agitating farmers in the country. Indian farmers have been protesting since August, expressing anger over new agriculture laws that will change the rules around the sale, pricing and storage of crops from the country’s agricultural regions.Manohar said this farmers are representing 130 crore people of the country and said it feels immense pain when these farmers are outraged by terming them as anti-nationals by BJP leaders and also slammed remarks made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders on farmers’ protest, calling it “most unfortunate and condemnable. The government must find an amicable solution and address the grievances of farmers sympathetically instead of blaming gangs, anti-national elements for these protests. He also urged the LT governor administration to look in to matter of agitating Rehber-e-Khel teachers and other adhoc employees.He said that the BJP government at the Centre cannot suppress the voice of the farmers. Until the demands of the farmers are met, the Congress workers will continue with their protests in support of farmers. Senior Congress leader D S Bindu, Brijeshwar Singh Indu, Kulbushan Singh Sarpanch, Kulbir Singh Pathania, Anil Sharma, Surinder Singh, Karam Chand Khajuria, Kamal Singh, Madan Lal Sharma, Kulbushan Sharma, Krishan Sapolia, Mohinder Paul Sharma, Rashpal Singh, Kundan Lal Sharma, Pawan Sharma, Banarsi Dass, Swarn Singh, Dilbir Singh Sethy and Taramani Verma were also present.
