Thief nabbed, stolen mobile phones recovered

SAMBA: Police on Saturday nabbed a thief and recovered stolen mobile phones on his disclosure.
As per details, on November 5, 2020, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Samba by Sandeep Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Rakh Amb-Talli, Samba stating therein that on intervening night of November 4-5, 2020, some unknown persons struck his shop ‘Meeran Communication’, situated nearby NH Samba and decamped with some mobile handsets along with cash.
Acting over complaint, a case vide FIR No. 297/2020 under Sections 457 & 380 of IPC was registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started. During the course of investigation, a team from Police Post Supwal led by In-Charge Police Post Supwal rounded-up several suspects for preliminary investigation. One suspect namely Ajay Kumar, son of Mulkh Raj, resident of Hunder Gali Lank, District Reasi, presently staying at Narwal, Jammu broke down during sustained questioning and confessed his involvement in aforesaid theft.
Accordingly, on his disclosure, 7 mobile phones were recovered from his rented room at Narwal, which were stolen from aforesaid shop.
